National Council of the Slovak Republic Meeting of the Chairpersons of the Economic Affairs Committees of the Energy Union

In December 2016 Greenway co-founder Peter Badik talked at the National Council of the Slovak Republic Meeting of the Chairpersons of the Economic Affairs Committees of the Energy Union on the topic of „Smart EU Energy Systems with the Consumer at the Center“ and shared our experience and expertise from 6 years of providing electric vehicle charging infrastructure and services throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

He quoted General Motors CEO Mary Barra: I believe we’ll see more change in the automotive industry in the next five to 10 years than in the past 50“

He also talked about the future of energy storage – By the year 2020 there will be about 7 million EVs on EU roads, capable of storing 245 GWh of electricity. By 2040 we project 125 million EVs on EU roads, capable of storing 7.5 TWh of electricity. The role of a charging service provider such as us is to offer a well managed, intelligent, and connected charging network, to keep this energy flowing and usable.
